The top 21-40 Teams will qualify for the Intermediate Division.

THE SCALED COMPETITION

Not everyone is ready to compete at higher levels, yet. However competing is fun and it will give the possibility to compare yourself with others who are in the same situation. Therefore The Berlin Throwdown will offer the possibility to participate in an competition whilst scaling the WODs.

The scaled division is aimed at athletes who want to compete but may not have the experience to compete in the RX division, yet. The WODs will be similar to the RX/Intermediate qualifier workouts, but the weights will be lighter and the movements may be scaled.

Registration will close at 22:00 (CET) on Sunday 5th of May. No late entries will be accepted.

HOW TO QUALIFY

Before getting the opportunity to visit Berlin and compete in the Finals of The Berlin Throwdown 2019 each athlete will first have to qualify through the online qualifiers.

There will be 4 Qualifiers over the course of 2 weeks.

BTD 19.3 & 19.4 will be published 6th May. Score submission closes 12th May 22:00 (CET).

ELIGIBILITY

All qualifying athletes must hold a valid passport. Age Group athletes (Masters 35+ and Teen 15-17) must have the valid age on 6th of July.

VIDEO SUBMISSIONS

At the end of the online qualifiers the top athletes will be asked to provide video submissions for all three qualifier WODs. The athletes requested to submit videos must do so latest by 22:00 (CET) on Sunday 19th of May.

Whilst videos do not need to be submitted when you submit your scores, we highly recommend if you are aiming to qualify that you upload your videos with scores as you go, to avoid any last minute upload issues that may cost you a qualifying spot. Videos should be loaded to a video hosting site like YouTube or Vimeo. The link to that video is then submitted with your score.

IMPORTANT DATES & INFORMATION

The Berlin Throwdown leaderboard will be live throughout the qualifier and will be updated as scores are submitted. Depending on their placing for each workout athletes will be awarded points. At the end of the qualifiers athletes will receive an overall ranking.

Qualifying athletes will receive an email inviting them to compete at the finals; Athletes will have 3 days until Wednesday to accept their place and purchase their competitor ticket. Those who do not do so will forfeit their place at the finals and the place will be offered to the next athlete in line.
